Finally, a foolproof way to water your temperamental African violets! Our two-piece, self-watering Cranberry African Violet Pot is expertly designed to take the guesswork out of plant care, ensuring your violets get the consistent moisture they crave without the risk of overwatering.
The magic is in our unique two-part system. The unglazed, low-fired inner pot allows the plant to "drink" water as needed from the glazed outer reservoir. This bottom-watering method promotes healthy root growth and prevents water from spotting the delicate leaves, leading to more vibrant and beautiful blooms.
Part of our exclusive hand painted African Violet Pottery Collection, this pot features a rich, warm glaze that provides a stunning splash of color, making your beloved violet the star of the show.

Usage & Care Instructions
Self-Watering Instructions: To start the water flow, soak the inner pot in warm water for a couple of hours before planting. Water the plant from the top at first, so both soil and inner pot are wet through. When the wet inner pot is submerged in water from the outer pot below, it begins drawing water upwards. Keep the inner pot clean and damp to encourage the self-watering effect.
There are two pieces to your self watering violet pot. The exterior outside pot which is decorated, and the inside pot which has a wide lip, and is all white (except the American Blue).
Your plant is placed into the inside pot with the appropriate amount of soil. Fill the exterior decorated pot about 1/3 full with water. Then place the plant and inside pot into the exterior pot as seen in the catalog image. Take care to avoid overflowing the water when combining the two pots
The pottery is created and glazed in a way that the exact right amount of water soaks through the ceramic to reach your plant's roots providing a steady consistent flow of moisture. Check the water level periodically to ensure it doesn't run dry.
